Cutting a Curled Dewclaw (using basic tools)

Bamba has a curly dewclaw, and it needs to be cut! We are going to be trimming down that dewclaw with a pair of basic scissor-style nail clippers and a metal file. Sometimes a dewclaw can be so tightly curled that we need to take it down bit-by-bit - just remember where that vein is (otherwise known as the "quick") and the rest can be chunked down, with the extra bits being filed away. Hope this helps if you encounter one of these curly nails! #dogcaretips #DogGrooming #DogNails #DogNailTrim #DogGroomingTips
