Valentine’s Day dog grooming is love, meaning that not only do you show your pet how much you love them by keeping them healthy through grooming and health checks, but a clean and fresh pet is a special joy to cuddle with, leading to more and more love! Let’s celebrate the amazing bond we have with our pets this Valentine’s Day by giving them some extra pampering and primping!!

Ready to get all cutesy? (We are!)

For pups that enjoy their bathing experience, there’s nothing like a warm, soothing bath to melt away their puppy tensions (chasing balls and chewing toys is stressful!). Here are a few tips to make their Valentine’s Day dog grooming bath experience even more enjoyable:

  • Use a luxury, moisturizing shampoo – look for natural ingredients like oatmeal, aloe vera, or chamomile to soothe your pup’s skin.
  • Condition for extra softness and skin health – Choose a quality conditioner with a delicious scent to seal the cuticle after shampooing.
  • Get a nubby massaging bath brush or bathing gloves to stimulate your pet’s skin and to distribute product.
  • Rinse and dry thoroughly – Make sure to rinse out all product thoroughly with warm water, and make sure to towel- and blow-dry the coat, brushing through your coated dogs to detangle and fluff.

Everyone loves a massage, and dogs are certainly no exception! And not only is a massage a relaxing way to bond with your pet, but Valentine’s Day dog grooming is also a perfect time to incorporate this soothing ritual. Massage is incredibly beneficial for helping with circulation and joint health. Ready to schedule your pup some much-deserved spa time? Here are some tips!

  • Use gentle, circular motions around the neck, shoulders, and back.
  • Speak softly and play relaxing music to create a calming atmosphere.
  • Consider using a rubber brush with soft nubs for pets with shorter coats to add more circulation benefits and to distribute natural oils during the massage.
  • Pets with dry skin and coat can benefit from adding a pet-safe coconut oil during their pampering session.

No professional grooming session is complete without an adorable seasonal bow or bandana. Dress up your pup safely with pet approved grooming finishes – and don’t forget to take a picture of your Valentine’s Day dog grooming session to remember this special holiday!

Treat Idea (just be aware of any existing or possible food allergies)!:

🍓 “Strawberry & Peanut Butter Frozen Hearts”

Blend peanut butter, plain yogurt, and strawberries, then freeze in a heart-shaped mold!

It is hard not to get mushy when thinking about how much we adore our pets, and although we know this love is enduring and celebrated every day, there is something special about taking a moment out to really focus on how much our pets truly mean to us. Happy Valentine’s Day to all the pet lovers and their beloved pets out there – we are celebrating with you! Xoxo!
